Trip to the "Winter Home"

Rob and I joke that our place in Phoenix is our "winter home," while our place in Des Moines is our "summer home."
I had a week off between semesters last week and we had so much fun together and with friends and family.
Here are some highlights of the week that we had our camera with:

We had a lovely dinner and evening and The Rawhide. The food was suprisingly really good. Except for I didn't get a chance to eat my chicken after Rob pointed out that it looked like a tanned raw chicken with just it's head cut off. It was a half a chicken and pretty much just looked like it was covered in bbq sauce. You could see the wrinkles in the skin. Kinda unappetizing.

We had a great time at the Diamondbacks and Cubs game. And this time I DIDN'T get pooped on by a bird :)

We celebrated 2 birthdays! Jayson's and Bennetts. We had a BBQ for Jay and a pizza and swim party for Bennett. We also were able to go to dinner with jay, halima and Bennett at Fudruckers on another night. Bennett was so cute at the pool. It is amazing how fun splashing in the water can be!

We went to the Phoenix Farmer's market. We were terribly disappointed with how tiny it was and the sheer lack of a variety of fresh produce, but all our disappointment went away when we saw the Dutch Pofferjies van. Yum Yum!!!

Some other highlights included:
1. A concert by a LDS recording artist with my parents (and had pita jungle:)
2. Waiting 3.5 hours to eat the best pizza in America at Pizzeria Bianco. (which by the way was ridiculously salty...)
3. Went to the temple
4. Had lunch with Diane
5. Had dinner with Tara and Nick
6. Went on a walk around the neighborhood
7. Had dinner at Rob's home teacher's home with his family.
8. Cleaned the bird poop off the car with the windshield cleaners at the gas station
9. Babysat Bennett
10. Ate lunch at SweetCakes with my mom
11. Ate at the famous and one of our favorites, Matt's Big Breakfast
12. Looked at an apartment

And just enjoyed spending time with eachother.
